Wormwood - Artemisia Annua (Sweet Annie) Liquid Herb Extract is most frequently associated with the expulsion of worms in people and animals.  Wormwood has been used for hundreds of years as a herbal worming agent to expel tapeworms, roundworms and threadworms.  Wormwood Liquid Herb Extract is also useful with thrush or any overgrowth of bacteria.   Wormwood is also a herb that has been used traditionally, in Chinese medicine, to treat fever, inflammation, and malaria.  A compound in artemisia was shown to be effective in treating malaria in a clinical trial.  Wormwood can also be used as a skin rinse for its antiseptic and anti-fungal properties.

Black Walnut has been traditionally used in the treatment of intestinal worms, pin worms and round worms.  Active ingredients in the black walnut hull include omega-3 fatty acids, sterols, tannins and iodine.  Black walnut shells are very rich in vitamin C; and beta-carotene, B1, B2, and B6 are found in the leaves.  The tannins in the hull are antibacterial, anti-parasitic, anti-diarrhetic, anti-hepatoxic, chelator, anti-hypertensive and anti-ulcer.

Cloves are anti- fungal and anti-bacterial in action, so they have a natural action against infection. Cloves are indicated for topical use in toothache due to its numbing and antibacterial effects. Cloves are also indicated for use with coughs and throat infections.
