Immune Support Round Two

Immune Support Round Two

By Karen Morris

With new waves of the virus spreading, it’s time we check in with our own immunity to see what changes we can make and how we can improve our own health. I would like to use this blog to highlight some key vitamins and herbals which can not only support your immune system but boost your overall health and wellbeing.

Let’s start with Zinc!

At Herbsonlineshop we have several choices of zinc available, one of which is Zinc Sulphate.

The benefits of zinc sulfate extend from Fast absorption: Zinc sulfate in an aqueous solution that is highly bioavailable for fast repletion of zinc levels.

Zinc supports healthy immune function: A dietary zinc deficiency impairs healthy functioning of the immune system, increasing the susceptibility to infection. Zinc is essential for mediating non-specific immunity such as neutrophils and NK cells and affecting the development of acquired immunity and T-lymphocyte function.

Vitamin C

Liposomal Vitamin C 120ml Vegetarian is a fantastic source of Vitamin C with easy absorption and access by the body, Liposomal Vitamin C provides this key foundational nutrient formulated with liposomal technology. There are no unpleasant side effects of this formula and it is an extremely effective way to boost your immunity.

Vitamin D & K

Vitamin D & K supports replenishment and restoration of Vitamin D levels and calcium absorption. This is particularly beneficial at a time like now, where quarantine has many of us inside and therefore reducing our level of exposure to the sun. It is a bioavailable formulation developed to specifically support replenishment and restoration of Vitamin D levels.

Coq10 (Ubiquinol) supports heart health and energy production.

Ubiquinol is necessary in all cells to support energy production and energy levels and helps to protect cells from oxidative effects of healthy ageing. CoQ10 also augments the immune system, and acts as an antioxidant, it plays a significant role in boosting the immune system when tissues and cells involved with immune function are required. It is important to take an adequate supply of CoQ10 for optimal function.
Coq10 is responsible for mitochondrial health and during viral and bacterial infections, the mitochondria turns into a battle ship and helps the immune system to fight. Therefore it is very important to take Coq10 when fighting the flu.
