Essential Lung Health Protocol

By Karen Morris

This week, let’s talk about lung health. Lung Health is critical for all of us at this time, so I’d like to use this week’s blog to discuss the top ways to improve lung health as well as diving into my top lung health supplements. Before we get to my go-to lung health protocol, let’s discuss some lifestyle factors you can implement immediately to improve your lung health.

Top 4 Ways to Boost Lung Health

Exercise

Exercise is a very powerful way to improve lung health. As we exercise, we are training our lungs to breathe deeply and the exercise itself improves blood circulation throughout the body. When you exercise, your lungs and heart work harder to supply oxygen to the muscles. Like any other muscle in the body, when your heart and lungs work harder, they get stronger.

Breathe Deeper

Practising, long deep breaths trains the lungs to breath so that the air goes all the way down to the bottom of the lungs instead of short shallow breaths like many of us do without even realising. Breathing deeper expands the lungs and fills the body with oxygen which replenishes the body and improves circulation, brain function and overall health.

Supplementation

As listed below, supplementation is a foundational part of improving lung health. I have listed our top lung health protocol below including Vit D3, Zinc, Coq10, Vit C and Lung Immune Herbal.

Avoid Irritants + Improve Air Quality

Irritants like smoke, perfumes and toxic air fresheners can damage our lungs not to mention other areas of our body such as brain function. A lot of air fresheners are filled with toxins that can cause headaches and long-term health issues. A natural and healthy way to improve air quality is to invest in an air diffuser and use natural, safe and healthy essential oils. We have the

Oil Garden Bamboo Ultrasonic Vaporiser, which humidifies and purifies air using ultrasonic vibration to disperse the fragrances of essential oils. This is a wonderful product and a top seller, it also makes a fantastic gift for a loved one.

As promised, here are my top recommendations for lung health supplementation.

Vit D3 Drops

Vit D3 Drops help to maintain healthy immune function. They support strong, healthy bones and muscle strength and also provides 1000IU of vitamin D3 per capsule.

Zinc Drops

Zinc supports healthy immune function: A dietary zinc deficiency impairs healthy functioning of the immune system, increasing the susceptibility to infection. Zinc is essential for mediating non-specific immunity such as neutrophils and NK cells and affecting the development of acquired immunity and T-lymphocyte function.

Coq10

CoQ10 plays a significant role in boosting the immune system when tissues and cells involved with immune function are required. It is important to take an adequate supply of CoQ10 for optimal function. Coq10 is responsible for mitochondrial health. During viral and bacterial infections, the mitochondria turns into a battleship and helps the immune system to fight. Therefore it is very important to take Coq10 when fighting the flu.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C helps to protect cells from oxidative stress, form collagen and cartilage to support healthy skin, blood vessels, bones and teeth, and increases iron absorption. The body cannot make or store vitamin C and so it is important to consume an adequate amount daily through the diet.

Cv Immune Lung Herbal

CV Immune Lung Herbal is for helping to strengthen and support the lungs to fight and reduce the length and severity of viruses. CV Immune Lung Herbal is a blend of lomatium, Elderberry, licorice root, Mullein, Elecampane, Pleurisy root and Artemisia annua and a very powerful lung herbal, especially at this time.
